Stool 01

I designed this hand built ceramic stool to celebrate the strength and honesty of clay. The exterior features a hand carved texture that captures the movement of moving around the piece and highlights the natural character of the clay. 
In contrast, the glossy and smooth, rich glaze on the seat complements the raw ceramic body, creating a subtle interplay of texture and finish. 
Carving the seat to cradle you when sitting, feeling the soft form out of a hard material.  The result, a piece that feels both grounded and intimate in the process
